How to run measurement after automatic calibration ?

Dear colleagues,
We calibrate our probes using automatic calibration. At the end of this process, I would like to check various probes. For example, I would like to measure the measuring ball as a sphere with different probe positions (we have an XXT RDS system) and output the diameter to ensure that the probe is functioning correctly in all positions.

How can I define a measuring element in the test plan, as there is only one empty base system?

Best regards,
Karsten

I am not catching your thoughts.

We have a program, where we have base alignment done by master probe.
Once hase probe done calibrating, then it's measuring a sphere to report it's XYZ and radius value ( i think i should make a new program which will give more meaningful values )

This program is run by characteristic list and there is a unique sphere for every probe.
So you would need to make more spheres for your angles.

Or am i missing something?

Hi Martin,

Sorry for my poor english...

It´s no problem to design a program wich use the reference probe to measure a reference sphere. After that we can use any other probe to compare size and position of the sphere against the reference probe.
But what I want to do is to combine the standard calibration program which have only an empty base system an no measure elements with the test program described above. The idea is to run this combined program once and check the results after.

Our standard calibration program need around 2:45 hours and we start this in the late evening so we can see the results at the early morning just before start the daily work. There is no time to run the next check program started manually on every machine to verify the calibration...

I am not english either 😄

I don't know about standard calibration program - we are doing calibration with one program and in the same program we report values.

You would need to write a new one with calibration and measuring. I am affraid you can not report values of a sphere without measuring ( so just from calibration data ).
