3d-Curve Startposition

Hello,

I need to create a complete 3D scan of a gear tooth. I have created a section and determined the contour. I have also done this in two further depths. My problem is that the starting point is different for each scan and, in addition, in poor positions. If I want to change the start and end points in the segment to, for example, 444 and 443, it only creates a scan directly between them. Does anyone know how to change this?

Hi,

there is an easy way and a little bit harder way.

Easy way:

1. duplicate your strategy
2. get to main feature's window, click "arrow down" button next to nominals to expand the list
3. find your needed point and remember number
4. open 1st strategy and fill start point as this number, leave end point as it is
5. open 2nd strategy and fill end point as your finded number.
6. now select both strategies, right mouse button on them and select "Group for the measurement"

This should measure from selected point around without interupting scan.

Harder way:

1. on main feature's window expand the list with "arrow down" button
2. find your needed point, select it
3. scroll to first point in the list and with "Left Shift" key click first one
4. right mouse button and select "Cut"
5. scroll to end of the list, select last point
6. right mouse button and select "Paste after"

Now it's done.
Both methods works, but i preffer the harder way to keep readability.
