[Cl...]
Just venting a little. I have spent the past 5 hours writing a program, which I really enjoy doing. Then I get an e-mail from the engineer telling me it's not needed anymore. 😖
[Ma...]
That's a pitty 😞 I often spend time doing program of grinded part to tell how much was grinded ( by angle grinder ). Most of the time are places of grinding on different places and i am facing mismatch of upper and lower half of a part. It would be easier on optical machine than tactile. We are looking for optical measurement - mostly for measuring of forging tools and some forged parts. Would be better financially and accuracy to use ATOS 5 or O-Inspect? Sizes are up to 1 meter square and up to 2 tons - or smaller ones to 500mm square and 350kgs - shiny.
[Ri...]
If you need accuracy - go ATOS. If you can live with a 0.02mm accuracy, I'd go with the T-Scan Hawk 2. It is very flexible for part sizes, and handles shiny parts a little bit better than the Q.
[Ma...]
ATOS is that accurate? For price view i would preffer rather 6 axis Absolute Arm with laser scanner than T-Hawk. For our type of work, where can some planes differ +/-5mm against model ( welded material and machined )
