Hello, soon I will be working on transferring calypso from a windows 10 pc that is running calypso 2021, to a new pc where i will install calypso 2025. I have been doing research to prepare, but before I started i figured id ask if anyone has any tips that they have found helpful to do before/while moving to a new pc/new version? I have never done this before and the people who did this in the past have either left my company or don't remember it that well. Thanks!

I've done a nee pc.

I don't know how much you need ECC memory, so we got normal ones and i've choosed i5-14 gen.

Zeiss preffer intel xeon - it's more server cpu because it can handle more memory.

Otherwise at lest 32 gb ram and recommended graphics card - we have nvidia t1000 8gb.

Then you have to have 2nd network connection - 1st for internet 2nd for machine.

Just upgraded a Duramax running Calypso 2014 on a Windows 7 computer to Calypso 2025 running Windows 11.

I suppose every system has it's own prescription but, with no bells or whistles, just plain Calypso with no add-ins, the attached worked almost seamlessly.

I'll attach the computer requirements recommended by Zeiss and also attach a document showing all the files that must be backed up. I believe the computer requirements were entry level?

The licensing tool Zeiss uses has changed and you'll have to download it as well.

The Calypso interface did have a big visual change in 2022 with new symbols and colors (no colors), that takes some getting used to.
