[Lu...]
Is there a way to find and replace a feature throughout the characteristics? I.e. if I copy a feature from another program and want to replace a feature with it.
[Ma...]
Look into editor for characteristics - perhaps you can edit name of the feature.
[Dr...]
Here's an approach that may be helpful: - (Optional) If the name of the original feature is complex, copy it to a notepad file for future reference; it needs to be exact. - Delete the original feature. Calypso will warn you about all the references that use this feature, and upon deletion, these references will be "broken." - Immediately rename the new feature to the original feature's name. Calypso will automatically re-link all the "broken" references to this feature. - (Optional): Rename the new feature again; you're not beholden to keeping the original feature's name for the references to work. - (Optional): Take the original feature out of the waste basket. Note that this approach will not update characteristic nominals, so if the new feature has different geometry than the original, corresponding edits will be needed.
[Ri...]
This is what I have been doing for the last 20 years. I add a suffix, letter "x" to the original file name. Example: Circle1 becomes Circle1x. Paste in the new feature, preferably with the same name. Right click on the original feature name and find all relationships. Click on each relationship in the dialog box and edit the feature name to the new feature name, in my case, I delete the suffix "x". When completed, you can safely delete the original feature without any association loss.
