[ca...]
Hello everyone, I am experiencing an issue with installing ZEISS QS. ZEISS INSPECT 2025 installs correctly, but QS cannot be installed. An error occurs when running the MSI package. Is there a way to perform the license activation outside of the Suite? We tried disabling the antivirus, but the issue was not resolved. We noticed that the MSI package was not being copied to the package cache. We attempted to extract the MSI and run it via CMD, but we encountered the same error. Other MSIs run successfully on our computer, and the user has administrative privileges. We tried both ZEISS-Quality-Suite_Installer_7.0.2766.0 & ZEISS-Quality-Suite_Installer_6.3.2518.0 versions. We have been dealing with this issue for a long time. We would appreciate your support and would like to know what else we can try. Many Thanks, Canset
[Ra...]
Hello, I would recommend having you local IT team look at the information in this link. I hope that helps. https://carl-zeiss-industrial-metrology-llc.helpjuice.com/zeiss-inspect/ZQS%2FGOM%2F AV white general list for Defender and MacAfee /version/1?kb_language=en_US
[ca...] Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM Hello Ray, Many thanks for the quick response. I guess you think it might be caused by the firewall since the file could not be copied. We'll try the steps described in the document. Still, I'd like to ask this: can we activate the license without installing ZQS because we already installed ZEISS Inspect 2025 without encountering any problem. Otherwise, we need to migrate the whole system. Thanks, Canset
[Na...] Posted yesterday at 08:54 AM Share Posted yesterday at 08:54 AM Could you have a look if there is an installation log in C:\ProgramData\Zeiss\QualitySuite\*user* May look like this: ZEISS-Quality-Suite_Installer_5.0.1785.0.exe_003_Suite.log Somewhat common error appears, if a webview component is missing on older Windows systems or offline systems. The concrete error message would also help, and of course feel free to reach out to support with this issue.
[ca...] Posted yesterday at 09:07 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 09:07 AM (edited) Hello Nanno, We also tried combined installation exe for Inspect and Suite. This error we're getting occurs in the command line where the ZQS MSI package is run with the arguments. It can not copy the msi to the package cache and cannot execute as expected. On the computer we're using Windows Defender is disabled, and in the antivirus program there is no blocked process visible. We had also tried disabling tamper protection there. The system has Windows updates installed, and both Edge and Webview are present. We got GOM Inspect 2022 and GOM Suite installed on the same system before. Could this be causing the problem? Thanks Canset Edited yesterday at 09:09 AM
[Na...] Posted yesterday at 03:19 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:19 PM Hi Canset, could you reach out to support please? I think it can be handled better by a ticket and we need some log files etc. Nanno
[Na...]
Hi Canset, I just learned that you need to go from Suite V4 -> V5 -> V6. A jump from V4 to V6 will not work directly.
[ca...]
Hello Nanno, Thank you very much for your support. We had also tried uninstalling the entire GOM Suite (keeping only GOM Inspect 2022) from Add or Remove Programs and then installing ZQS that way, but it didn’t work either. Could it be because of leftover files, etc.? Thanks Canset
