A program that does only probe changes

Hello,

I am making a custom probe bay holder and wanted to cycle a bunch of stylus changes in/out of each slot to make sure it works well and doesnt eject a stylus onto the floor.

Is there a way to make a program (that I can loop) that will do nothing other than stylus changes?

I am affraid that only with PCM you can do it - otherwise you would need to touch at least a point for every probe.

In the "CNC end park position", you can add a stylus change. I see you can add as many as you want. I have never tried that but I bet it would work.

If you don't have PCM, you can use "empty" probe qualification chracteristics instead. Put one into the program, open, select the desired stylus and then remove all the tips from the right side of the window. When executed, the CMM will only fetch the stylus from the rack and do nothing else. So put several of these in, each with a differenty stylus, and it will do what you need.
