I read the KB article and noticed the operator is supposed to stop the operation. My problem was the window was clipped on my laptop and I couldn't see the stop button. I am trying again. When watching the process, the first 2 bars were blue and the rest were red. I later realized that maybe the red was telling me the solutions were not optimal and to give up. Anyway, I got it to work but felt like I could do a better job by manually ordering my features. The new problem is I no longer have an option to run from "From Features list". Just the "Optimized Feature order" or "From Characteristics list". I couldn't find anything addressing this, but I am going to try deleting the "sorting" folder which contains the optimized list.
