[Sz...]
Hi I am making quality check of electrodes for EDM, they are all at the same X and Y position (Erowa Chuck), only different height. I want to add a "search run Z" at the begining, so I don't have to do manual alignment for every height change I tried to change "Search distance before nominal position" and "Search distance after nominal position" to 100mm, for my first element which is selected for spatial rotation and Z origin, but it doesnt move all the points (see image for details) Maybe that is not the right approach. Any suggestions?
[No...]
Use a formula in the Z nominal of element 2 and reference the Z value of element 1 (getActual("Element1").z - x ) where "x" is the desired Z offset of element 2. Or use relative measurement in the "Projection" tab of element 2. If this is possible depends on what the 2 elements actually are (plane, circle, whatever).
[Ma...]
If you make new alignment with this new Z origin, then you can use that alignment as all other features alignment and it's done. Everything is then like nominal, because your nominal Z point is same, just actual is moved.
