[Jo...]
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew how to add text to the CAD window in CALYPSO. Just like a simple instruction that is always displayed in a certain area in the CAD window (see image). I've seen it in CMM programs in CALYPSO before, but I've never done it myself. Thanks!! [Ri...]
I use what Owen described all the time, it lets me and or operator know if the model is up to date or for "Visual Only". Up to date model: Color GREEN Part No. and Rev level. Out of date, or visual only: Color RED "Visual Only"
[Da...]
We put loading info on there , saves a lot of our greener operators from crashing an upside down part!😀

[Je...]
I so wish we could edit the color of the text and that the font was scalable without pixelating. On-screen CAD window text is a very useful and underutilized tool. It can be a quick verification that the correct measurement plan is loaded. Yes, setup instructions and other embedded methods can also be used, but the CAD window is instant and noticeable. Yes, I know... My Voice (sigh). [Ch...]
Jeff, I agree. You can always load CAD letters, like I have done in the past ... 😁
[Ch...]
I think I know 'how' to do it. Would require executeCode() and sending messages to the Acis window, which I've done, however the syntax gets a bit trick due to ' "quotes" ' Would be much easier for Zeiss. 2
[Da...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Yeah, we did that to a couple of programs. We run high production in process checks and the picture shows up every time you start it. After a bit we deleted the picture.
[Cl...]
In addition to that, or as an alternative put all your programs in autorun. There is a field on the right that displays written instruction and a button below that which will open a picture to go with the instructions. [Ch...]
Just some of the code that writes to the CAD window (Acis). From what I can tell they did not add into their code the option to change the font etc which is a normal function of the acis code as per above. [Ch...]
my belly is not actually that big, they just fed me well, I actually lost even more weight after fasting. but yeah you found me, with a couple brilliant Zeiss guys picking up the 1st Zeiss T/S for USA and my company Moog Aircraft. Pretty versatile piece of equipment. Wenzel is now offering something similar as well.

[Je...]
Please sign in to view this username. Outstanding! That must have been a memorable trip. I've seen that T/S device in marketing images, but I don't know much about it. Is the top connecting point always a tapered center? Interested to hear your thoughts after getting some miles in on it, per what you're allowed to share. P.S. I've inspected plenty of Moog components upstream. Historic company. I remember being impressed by the quality of their drawings.
[Ch...]
Jeff, Yes usually a tapered center, however anything can be adapted via a standard Morse taper. Same high accuracy, precision and quality of Zeiss , coupled with a new 5th axis to inspect part families. We got it to back up 2 machines, so kind of 2 for 1 deal. [Ka...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hi Zak, Will be great if all customers are able to access this knowledge-base. If I try to access the DB from Germany I get always an error 404 😞
[No...]
Please sign in to view this quote. You know that you can enter all that Scheme Extensions stuff directly in the ACIS window for test purposes. Here's a somewhat outdated but still very useful resource: http://www-isl.ece.arizona.edu/ACIS-docs/ Click "List of..." then select "Scheme Extrensions"
