Saving .act files to online directory

Our shop has 5 different CMM's, so in an effort to keep up with revision changes across all machines I have created an online directory that holds the most recent program for operators to pull from. That part has been functioning fine, however I cannot get the actuals to save back to the online directory. I have tried every option under "Measuring results Export (ASCII)" and changing both the export paths. I can get gear pro to create the needed folder but the actuals file continues to save to the previous location on the computer SSD.

 

Anyone have any insight or ideas?

Please provide a screenshot from the dialog where you talk about.

You wrote "actuals", for me "actuals" means the ".act" files.

Do you ask for "ASCII export" is not working correctly to network drive?

If yes, please provide an .act file then we can have a look inside.

Yes sir, in the past I have been able to save the actuals (act.) files in the same folder that the initial program runs from with the current attached selection. Screenshot and act. file attached.

Yes, what I did do differently just now was update "Measuring Data" to the updated location and it worked!

I'm glad I was able to help you this afternoon. If anyone runs into this at a later time, the "Workpieces/Nominal data" needs to have a different value than the "Workpieces/Measuring data" option, otherwise the checkbox will automatically set to off, which then causes the act files to follow the gear file.

This is interesting. I would like to one day incorporate an Auto Run window for our site and was curious if that would work with programs needing to run Gear files. Currently, we have operators save a copy of the program(s) from the server and then run them from their local machine with the results stored on another place on the server. This causes some concern as some operators may not pull the latest version and instead run a copy they still had on their local drive. 

Our program files are stored on a server which has multiple levels of subfolders based on program group. Are the directory paths able to be set dynamically to save to their respective root folders (i.e. Quality Folder > Project A folder > Part Number 1234 > Calypso and Gear Pro files)? Or would this need to be manually set for each program?
