[Ra...] Posted October 2 Share Posted October 2 Hi, I was able to get through downloading and older version (2018;6.6) onto a new Win 11 machine. Now the dongle. I checked the USB ports and they're not blocked of by IT first of all. The Zeiss License Activation I don't believe just automatically recognizes said dongle. Do I have to copy license from folder on old PC in .txt and copy it into a folder on new? Thanks for the help. [Ky...] Posted October 2 Share Posted October 2 I would probably need a bit more information to help you more, but based on your posts, my first question is "what do you mean by not recognizing the dongle"? If you are just trying to open up Calypso and it gives you the license error, that may very well be you not having the license file installed (the dongle works with the license file, but they are separate). If, however, the computer isn't recognizing the dongle at all, that's an entire different matter. You can check this in the license program. If you are using the older license activation utility, you have to go through the steps of trying to activate a license (don't worry, you don't need to put in a number or anything for this), but there is a section where you can choose dongle or PC bonded license. When you select "Dongle" it should show you a list of the dongles it recognizes. You'll have to forgive me, its been a while since I used the old ZLAU and I can't remember the process exactly. [Ra...] Posted October 3 Author Share Posted October 3 Thanks I was able to just follow pdf and copy license file over to desktop and inport using Zeiss License Management Tool. Almost there. On elast issue is The new Win11 PC has PCIe nic not PCI adapter like old PC, and I'm not communicating with C99 controller so I have to look into another adapter card setup.
