[WM...]
There is a feature called “Consideration of Sharp Curves.” Would it be possible for you to explain the conditions under which this feature is applied? I assume that, similar to the “Outlier elimination for profile and lead measurements” feature, it does not apply filters to areas where the deviation exceeds a certain threshold. Is my understanding correct?
[Ed...]
It looks like GearPro uses less evaluation points and you can get better result! Edited Tuesday at 05:47 AM
[Ro...]
Here the complete description of sharp bend consideration: If a filter is activated for a measuring task or in the main strategy, all points will usually be filtered. If, however, the curve drops outside the evaluation range within the operating area of the filter (according to the wave separation length), the filtered range will extend into the main range, thus causing rounding-off and translation of the edge into the main evaluation range. This also has an effect on the measurement results that do not correspond to the real values. To consider sharp bends outside the main evaluation range during filtering, you can now tick the Consider sharp bends outside main evaluation area check box on the Filtering tab for the profile and line measuring task strategy.
