[Ri...]
We have a family of parts that are cylindrical, from quite small to about 5 inches in length. Most are probably in the range of Ø.25 to Ø.75 (Inch) Surface finishes are typically 8Ra or less. Currently we are using a RondCom to scan the OD for Roundness, etc. We are finding a need to detect surface anomalies after OD grinding. I would guess a camera system that could compare images of GOOD and BAD. (Bad being pre-determined). Has anyone used a Visual/Imaging system that may be capable? [Cl...]
Specifically, for measuring roundness, etc.? Or just surface finish? Keyence 8000 with rotary. which has an Impressive high-resolution camera. I think they start at around 60k. Edited October 7
[Ri...]
We only need visual imaging. We won't need a rotary; I plan on using a system in line with the RondCom (Has its own rotary table). The plan is to scan on the RondCom and simultaneously image the part with a visual system. Thats the plan...🤫
