[Ja...]
I have a Duramax and this morning the computer didn't start up properly. I got a blue screen. I had to restart it. After that I had lost my machine tab. I followed the solution to that is posted in the Zeiss portal. I think I lost all my probe data though. Can anyone guide me through how to try and get that back? [Ri...]
Unless you have a backup copy of the config folder, I think it's safe to assume that it is gone.
[Ja...]
I got it figured out.
[Ri...]
Please post what you did to get the probe data back so others may be able to save their data.

[Ma...]
I am quite busy, but i am working on a program to keep changes on those files and let you manage versions. Hopefully i'll manage some time for that and optimize utilization of cpu ( quite demanding, triggers are not plausible )
[Ja...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I followed these instruction on what to do when the machine tab is lost, https://portal.zeiss.com/knowledge-base?id=483015 When I typed in the name of the new tab I typed "Duramx" instead of "Duramax". I corrected that and it worked. My only problem now is I get a message asking me if I really want to connect two controllers when I turn things on. I select no and things work fine. I deleted the "Duramx" tab but I think still get the message. It's a really bad day for this to happen. I don't have time to work on it.
[Ke...]
With any luck it just defaulted the Simulation (or one of the other machine tabs) to connect at system start, if you go to the Extras-Settings-CMM, go through the machine tabs and see if the "Reconnect during system start" checkbox is checked on any of the other tabs. If so, uncheck it and that should stop happening
[Ja...]
Please sign in to view this quote. You are exactly right. I believe you just helped me get rid of that message too.
[No...]
I strongly recommend to use the Calypso backup function on a regular basis (alternatively backup the whole config folder). Since the problem with stylus database access has been eliminated, it's quite useful.
[Ky...]
It behooves me to mention that the computers that ZEISS supplies (at least in North America) have a restore software called "Acronis" installed. By default, it is configured to create a backup every week (I think at like Saturday at some early hour). Of course, if you have multiple shifts, it might not work as the data is being used, but you can use that as a backup to restore the config as well. Has gotten me out of more than a few jams. You can read more here: https://portal.zeiss.com/knowledge-base?query=Acronis
