[La...]
Hello, I would like to ask for your help in interpreting the relationship between GX, GN, and the surface profile. In the picture_1, I have illustrated how I interpret the diameter tolerance. Is my line of reasoning correct in your opinion? Image 2 shows another interpretation, but I believe it is not entirely correct. What is your opinion on it? Thank you for your comment.
[Ma...]
This drawing is quite a rubbish. You can not have (M) on non tolerated features. What you can do is perform surface profile on A with GN and another surface profile on A with GX ( GX,GN - just select tangential element outside/inside - GX means maximum inscribed )
[La...]
Thank you for your answer. The gx is on one part, the gn is on another part. I would like to ask what the diameter tolerance would be for the part shown in the picture above, +/-0,25mm or 0,5mm. Thank you for your comment. [Ma...]
You have an tolerance on surface ( against dia 131,4 ) 0,5mm - so it's +/-0,25 on radius. But this tolerance can not be used in datum A for MMB - it's just for surface profile. From drawing it's not clear for what purpose is used GX/GN, but that's just an evaluation for getting center of datum A - tolerance is still missing for MMB
