[Ma...]
Hi, when i want to apply paralellism or TP on cylinder which is less than 170° ( center is 0,5mm above surface and from both sides are transition radii ) then it's showing problem as: MCADGps-3006 It was not possible to compute a sufficient number of sections. How to deal with this? Only geometry is allowing us to get results. Thanks
[Ch...]
As you guess, the problem is that you have a cylinder with less than 180 degrees. For such cylinder it is mathematically not possible to compute a stable center line. Therefore using "Geometry" as standard onto a best-fit cylinder is the best approximation onto standard definition. [Ma...]
Please sign in to view this username. Hi and thanks for clarification. Once we will have those parts, we will compare results against Calypso and ScanMax to see how much we will differ on ATOS. We are mainly focusing on correct measurement according to our common way of evaluating ( mostly cartesian distance ) Inspect is in this way more complicated to get "a value" because you have to tell it which point. I have still not resolved midpoint of a plane.
