[Mo...]
We just got a new CMM running the latest Calypso, 8.0 and I need to move programs over from Calypso 6.2. As far as I know my custom printouts will not work. Can someone help me clarify a few things and direct me in the right direction as to what would be the easiest way to setup reports. Programs I moved over automatically print a compact printout it seems with header fields missing. Is there a way to still use my custom printouts with the same header fields? Do I need to change every single program to Multiple printouts and create piweb with the same header? If you made the same upgrade, what did you do? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
[Ma...]
Have you tried allowing old printouts? It's in the menu -> compatibility. This was discussed on forum - i believe in Calypso section.
[Mo...]
I did try that. It still only showed the compact printout and my header was missing the custom fields.
[Ma...]
Does it ask you to fill that header field? It should allow you to fill that field if it's in protocol header. Next piece into this puzzle is userfield.ini file - have you copied this also?
[Th...]
I wonder if the custom report relies on the basic reporting program like the old graphics element does. It's not part of the install routine anymore, so you would have to run the setup manually. If you have the Calypso installer handy, it's in the folder location Tools > ZEISS Basic Reporting64. I think the compatibility setting only changes whether or not you can spec the custom report and graphics elements in new plans, existing ones should still display them normally. [Mo...]
Please sign in to view this quote. The userfield.ini file fixed the header issue. The format seems different, I have one field that prints smaller font then it did on the old version, and all the results are way bigger font, not sure if there is a way to decrease the size of the font? [Ma...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I think you can edit font size in template editor - in userfield is only content.
[Th...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It's bundled with the installer for Calypso. If you don't have that you can download it from the Zeiss portal.
[Pi...]
Hello. I hope information I will provide will clarify some problems. After upgrading Calypso to 7.6 or newer to use old custom report is still possible to small extend. First you have to copy all of your userfields.ini and protocol folder you are using to same location in new calypso. This will allow to keep header settings and "re-connect" inspection plans to your custom report. And now there is important information you CANNOT TOUCH ANYTHING ON REPORT OUTPUT. You cannot trigger multiple-printout (on/off). Basically do not do anything regarding report output. Just run program and if you copied report folder from old protform location to new location in new Calypso - it should connect and output results using Custom Report. When you will try to do anything with report output - Calypso will cut off connection to custom reports and you cannot restore it anymore unless you close inspection plan without saving, or you will get it back from backup. The only thing that stops working is outputting plots and/or any graphical outputs - as old reporting is not supported. If you need plots you have to re-work programs to use PiWeb reporting. Positive thing is that if you were using custom report output in Multiple-Printout you can add plot report to output and this should not affect you. Bonus advice - If you were using syntax to save reports in custom location - remove this syntax before editing program in new calypso especially this is important for systems that were not using Multiple-Printouts as access to this syntax is impossible in New Calypso versions. I hope that help in some cases.
