Memo editor?

I was logging in this morning and clicked a button i have never clicked before. Anyone ever used the memos function? from what i can tell it seems like a shared note page accessible from the log in menu. I couldn't find any information about it online, though there was a bit of info in the help menu.

I'll be honest, I've been working at Zeiss for nine years as of the end of the week and I don't think I clicked that button until you mentioned it. Never really seemed relevant as I would use either paint or notepad if I needed something like that.

From the short amount of time I've spent playing with it just now, you seem to be correct. It is persistent across user accounts and Calypso restarts, so my guess is the intent is that later shifts can convey issues or things they were working on to other shifts or something like that, or possibly that earlier shifts can convey where they left off to the later shifts, though I don't think I've ever seen it be done "in the wild". Although this seems to be functional, there are definitely alternatives to this.

If you have a specific question about it, I can see if I can look into it, but most of the operation seems pretty straightforward (famous last words, I know).

This is a very old Calypso feature and as Kyle correctly guesed, it's there to share notes between different users, shifts etc.

Not really, though I appreciate the offer. I was mainly bringing it up because I found it interesting how there wasn't anyone who has talked about it online from what I could tell. Not sure if I will ever use it myself lol just found it neat so I figured Id post it here. Thank you!

Id hoped this could be set to FORCE a user to read a memo before they could log in.  That would be incredibly useful!

P.S.  HUGE shout out to
