How to use a formula in a Free Form feature?

I have an odd situation, never been here before.

The feature is very small, .100 across Y and about .235 across Y.

I use two scans to get the .100 surfaces without a problem, But I need to use single points to get the distance across Y.

This is a 3D printed aluminum product; surfaces are rough.

Due to the feature location being about .009 off center in the Y axis, the two points do not make proper contact on the ends in the X axis.

I am trying to use a formula inside the free from feature to center the points, I believe I can calculate the offset value correctly (.0098xxx), but when applied to the nominal of the point (6.6275) in calculates a very odd value.

Adding the deviation of the Y axis to the 6.6275 comes up with some value over 10.9795. Obviously incorrect.

Now the weird part, inside the PCM dialog box it calculates exactly as planned.

Is this possible?

if yes, what am I doing wrong?

Seems like bad configuration with your PCM-Ref.

If i remember correctly there should be a question about how to use that PCM ( from alignment of a feature )
I was using that in plane polyline strategy and there was this thing
