Unable to import CAD model after update

I've just updated some of our workstations to v 7.6.2011.  This is the latest version that I have access to.  They were updated in preparation of a Windows 11 upgrade.  After installing the updates, some of the workstations lock up when trying to import a CAD model into a new or existing program.  Premade programs work as normal.  I've reinstalled the updates to see if it was a botched install, I've verified all licenses are applied and active.  Nothing seems to help.  I'm at a complete loss.

Help me Zeiss Calypso forum, you're my only hope.

What version were you using previously? When the software freezes, what does it say at the top left of the Calypso window (probably X/9 and then some text)?

My first thought would be to check the release notes to see what CAD versions are compatible with that 7.6.20 and see if the CAD file you are trying to import is supported. That would explain why importing models has issues, but existing programs don't, as Calypso converts the CAD in the program to an SAB format. You could also have someone with a CAD software save out a model you are having issues with into an sab/sat format (most cad software have this option) and see if that works.

Another possibility is that the software is freezing up trying to import PMI data if that is baked into your cad model. I believe this can be disabled by going into CAD-Settings-Converter/PMI and unchecking "Form and Position Information(PMI)", which you can try to see if that helps.

We were previously running 7.6.0403, so the update was pretty minimal.  I've included a screenshot of the window.  There's nothing out of order, it just stops.  I've tried multiple CAD files, some of them are VERY basic, and again, this issue isn't on all computers who received the update.

I'll look into the PMI thing...

If this is my case as well, it could be good news.  Hopefully IT upgrading to Windows 11, which is what started all this, cleans up my problem.

Thanks Sven!
