How large of an area can you measure strain

Is there and documentation regarding recommended measuring volumes when measuring strain using the Aramis systems? I heard it should be within 400mm but often I get requested for large areas maybe 1500mm.

Hello Justin,

There is no recommended measurement volume, as the lenses used are approved for this measurement volume. You can check the user manual to see which MV is approved for your lens. Don't forget to use the calibration object at 1500 mm, which serves as a calibration cross. You can also find this in the user manual of the Aramis system.
