[Wi...]
Problem Statement: It seems in GOM Inspect 2022 there is no way to force true positions that share the same datum system with no material modifier on any of the datums to move together. This option is only available for datum systems with a material modifier on one or more datums and we are wondering if it is possible to have this same option or behavior available for datum systems with no material modifier. Example: Two hole patterns (4 holes each in each pattern) with a 2 true positions applied to each of them, one using datum system A|B (no modifiers), therefore allowed to clock itself back to perfect hole position and another true position using datum system A|B|C(M), also allowed to clock by some allowance given by the actual linear size of datum C. The defects of hole pattern 1 and 2 are in opposite directions (hole pattern 1 is shifted counterclockwise by 4 degrees from nominal whereas hole pattern 2 is shifted clockwise 3 degrees from nominal), therefore, if the fit is treated "together", there is no way the degree of freedom allowed on datum C will be able to fully correct the error. On the other hand, if the fit of each true position is treated separately, each hole pattern will move individually and clock itself to perfect positioning and return 0 deviation.
