[JO...]
If I create a custom report style with pages in that style customized, how do I save that style so that it shows up by default in the available templates? I click "Manage Templates" and don't see a way to save or export or anything that hints at making this report style always available alongside the other styles. [Ma...]
You have to export it into your app. Use your existing app or create new one. If you want to use only your templates, then you can hide all other templates. Unfortunately i can not help until tuesday.
[To...]
Please sign in to view this username. I don't have the folder structure in front of me but there are 3 locations for templates. 1) Default templates are stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\Calypso x.x\PiWebReportingTemplates\ (some versions may be in Program Files folder, but not sure) 2) Generic Templates (ones you modified) are store in C:\Users\Public\documents\zeiss\Calypso\protocol\PiwebReportingTemplates\ 3) Measurement Plan specific templates are stored in the specific measurement plan folder There may be an easier solution but if you copy your customized template and paste it into the default location and rename it to StandardProtocol.ptx, this will be the default template when creating new programs. However, if you ever upgrade to the next version or install a service pack (SP), this file will be overwritten back to the default StandardProtocol. So, keep a copy of the custom template in the default folder so you can easily recover it. An alternative method is to create a template program with the desired PiWeb template and just create new programs by opening the template and immediately doing a "save as" to rename the program. This is a good option if you want other settings to be automatically active like saving pdf's, measuring points, table files, blocked edges, etc. To create a template, just create a new measurement plan. Select the desired PiWeb template and any other settings but DO NOT do anything to this program that would make associated with a specific part, i.e. base alignment. Save this program as "~Template1", for example. I add the ~ symbol so it will cause the template to be at the top of the list in file explorer if sorted by measurement plan. The newer versions of Calypso will let you mark this program to pinned to the top of most recently used list when you select Open. As an added safety measure, open the measurement plan folder and right-click on the inspection file and make this file "read only". This will keep you from accidentally overwriting this template.
