[Cl...]
I think this is what I need. I've never tried it before. After a scan my stylus (RDS/XXT) needs to rotate, because of where it is. It will hit the right vertical section of the bridge. I need to move it out of the way before this. Is this what Plan > Navigation > Rotate/Swivel Position is for?

[Lu...]
As a warning, it does not apply when you execute a feature, and it also doesn't apply during an automatic probe change. I have learned this the hard way lol, so be extra cautious with features that require probe angles that point towards the probe rack. I had to adjust the approach parameters for the probe rack (using the guidance of the people on this forum) to make sure I wouldn't crash when changing probes.
[Ky...]
Here is a knowledge base article in case it is helpful. https://portal.zeiss.com/knowledge-base?id=551353 As to Luke's point, there is a "Travel Performance during Stylus System change" in the same location you find the rotate swivel position, but depending on the situation, you might even want to look into the approach parameters for the styli bays. [Cl...]
I came up with a simple fix. I swapped the order of the scans, so the last one won't hit anything while rotating.

That works as a quick workaround, and I guess most of us have done something like that at some point. But it’s not a very solid solution. If for any reason you ever need to repeat a single element by itself, and the original order of features or elements doesn’t hold, you could still end up with a collision. Conceptually, you should aim to program it so that no matter the order, collisions can’t happen.
[Ma...]
Since you can create a stylus position with the same end position using either a clockwise rotation or counter clockwise rotation I will create several of those if I need to to prevent rotation that will end up hitting the fixture or something. Then I select the rotation (CW/ CCW) as needed. Edited Friday at 02:12 PM
