I saw in another thread somebody was recalling other characteristics into a new characteristic to analyze bolt patterns. I'm not able to do that as well. And I tried manually creating a bolt circle but that didn't work either. It was easy using the old characteristics. I get the feeling I'm missing something really simple. What is it?

Hello Jack,

The process works a bit differently in the new GD&T engine. This knowledge base article goes through the process, but in short, you need to make a separate callout for each (using the paintbrush tool is the easiest way) and then set all of the callouts to be in sim req or CZ (depending on the standard).

That being said... it does say "Sep Reqt" in the print? Are they not meant to be separate, or is that referring to something else?

Thanks Kyle. I'll check it out.   As far as the separate requirement goes, there are other bolt patterns on the part that use the same callout and so I'm thinking each pattern needs to be in the right place and good to itself, but one pattern to another pattern isn't critical.

Add clarification.

Kyle - The link worked, but I don't see that article listed when I go to the Knowledge Base. Is there another list of articles that we can access?
