Difference between previous weight and current weight of masterprobe error?

Hello, I was doing the "Ref. sphere position" and the first point I took "in the probing direction" showed an error saying that the previous masterprobe weight and the current weight is different, and is asking me if it should be "redefined". It goes on to tell me that it could be from adding a probe to the masterprobe, and a couple of other options none of which i had done.

Could this mean that the CMM was damaged? I am worried that if I redefine the weight and qualify all of my styli that it could cause more issues in case the CMM was actually damaged and the weight sensors were incorrect. Could air pressure also be a potential cause? Any advice is appreciated. The machine is a Contura G2 with a vast xxt rotating probe head

If this is consistent, Luke, then I would call your HW support team. There is a spring inside of the XXT that weighs the stylus system and if that gets stretched or otherwise damaged, it can cause that behavior.

If it only happens once, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Likely some sort of fluke. I would make note of it, but wouldn't think too much of it until I see a consistent history of it and especially if it is getting worse.

Forgot to mention, it says it is heavier by "0.012d mm". Would that be ok to calibrate it? I just want to make absolutely sure before I mess anything up lol thank you
