[Pe...] Posted yesterday at 01:55 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:55 PM Hello, I have a new cmm computer to set up. Whenever I fillout the report header data from Resources->Report Header Parameters (i.e. work order, part number, rev, ect.), it does not save it. If I fill it out and immediately go back to in, it is back at the default values. I have an assumption that it is a permissions issue since it acts as if calypso just doesnt have the write permissions to whatever location that info is stored. So is there a specific file location I can check to see if we have read/write? Or could there be another issue? Thanks
[Je...] Posted yesterday at 02:19 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:19 PM the report header data are saved for each inspection plan in the "protheadpara" - file in the inspection plan folder
[No...] Posted yesterday at 02:23 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:23 PM If you save your actuals to a different location, there's also a copy of protheadpara there.
[Ch...] Posted yesterday at 02:54 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:54 PM If you save your programs on a network then its a good idea to save your actuals locally. Otherwise, you run into header issues when running the same program on two cmm's.
[Ky...] Posted yesterday at 03:45 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:45 PM Another thing to note, if these are header fields you made and have defaults set in there, Calypso will reset it to the defaults after every run, at least in newer versions. If I recall correctly, this was a requested change made a few years back.
[Pe...] Posted yesterday at 04:53 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 04:53 PM Please sign in to view this quote. This was the solution. The userfields.ini had a defaultValue=XXXXX. And removing the XXXXX part of it made it work. The confusing part that made it hard to figure out was that every other calypso 2024 installation on the other machines did not act like this (they have default values) but this one new computer needed them blank. [Ma...] Posted yesterday at 04:58 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:58 PM I was facing similar thing on new pc with Calypso 24 - in autorun we had stored pallet programs with headers prefilled - but on new Calypso this was overriden by this "default" value. Also i miss changing comboboxes - on older versions you could focus header and by clicking on keyboard arrows you could change it's value - now it's opening that list. It's a little annoying, but we can live with that 😄
