[Gr...] Posted yesterday at 02:56 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:56 PM I have some internal geometry of a scanned mesh cylinder I'd need to inspect. How do I section it so I can show the section in the report?
[Ma...] Posted yesterday at 03:44 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:44 PM I don't know what you are asking. You can do section on CAD or Mesh - i do often selecting one of them and presing "E" key to show only that and with selection tool you are selecting part of CAD or Mesh. In a same way you can do inspection section with a selection. It would be helpful to post a screen or better explanation to gain better help. [Gr...] Posted yesterday at 04:51 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 04:51 PM I want to do a section view to show the internal geometry in my report.
[Ma...] Posted yesterday at 06:17 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:17 PM You can do section in a way that you slice it in half in axis direction ( to get two half-cylinders ) To do so you can do inspection section and select either Plane Z or any other element - this way is the easiest. You will get this + you can place some deviation flags
[Gr...]
Thanks. I have that now. How do I show it sectioned in my report? Or sectioned in the main graphics area. Sorry I'm new to the software and not sure on term.
[Ma...]
I am using what i have posted - just that colored line. This can be found in tree -> Inspection -> Curves -> Inspection Sections on Actual ( or CAD ) -> select that one curve and press "E" It will show only that colored line. But if you want to show CAD or Mesh, you can select CAD or Mesh in the tree and press "V" - then press TAB to show properties - select Display tab and use transparency. Then for report just press "camera" button at top left corner
[Gr...]
Got it thanks. I think I like the transparency for showing the internals.
