[An...]
Our computer for one of our CMMs died yesterday and we are trying to connect an offline programming laptop to the CMM. The laptop has Calypso and I downloaded and activated a full Claypso license, it is no longer an offline seat of Calypso. The issue we have right now is that the laptop cannot make a connection to the CMM and I am not able to create a new CMM in Calypso. Any help would be appreciated! [na...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Offline license alone is not enough to run CMM. If you have USB dongle with license file backup from old one, then you can transfer it to laptop.
[Ke...]
You must set IP address for NIC card that is plugged into the Zeiss machine must be 192.4.1.199, submask 255.255.255.0. after setting up communication network. don't forget to bring dongle usb device from your old pc to plug into your laptop.
[An...]
I do have the USB dongle on the laptop and I have the online license activated. I should be good to go but its only showing ACCURA1_RDS which is the name of our offline machine. It wont let me add our actual ACCURA, the add button is greyed out. [Za...]
Additionally, you'll need to review your licenses, either in Zeiss License Management Tool, or Extras > Settings > Misc > Licenses to see if you have a CNC license. if you do not have one, that seat of CALYPSO cannot run a CMM
[Ma...]
What i saw on our setup, we had definitions in "hosts" file. Somewhere should be setted ip address for your machine, because you have to set it on your pc.
[Ch...]
We back up the CMM file once a week: config folder and CALYPSO\workarea\basesystems This only works if the CMM file is located in the button database; a workaround 😎 is needed because Calypso doesn't allow access. [Ma...]
Probes are stored in MSSQL database file running under admin rights. Accessible only via login and sql commands just like other SQL servers, or by stopping mssql app and copying that file. I am not sure if backup in Calypso will store probe database too.
