[ca...]
Hello everyone, We perform multi-part scanning in GOM Software 2021.After polygonization is completed, system could not be able to assign mesh data to the both left and right part. It shows like there is a mesh file under Left and Right part but when we click to make it visible, it does not show any data. When we try to do it with using cutout function by referencing CAD model, we have still the same problem. We do not want to do it manually, because it will be used in an automated system. Is there any other way to assign maybe only related measurement series items lets say for left part or right part through scripting or any other function that i can use in 2021 software? Many Thanks, Canset
[Be...]
Hi, multi part scanning is "challenging" and you have to give the system a lot of information where the measurement data can be spatially expected. If one of these information is missing or it's wrongly defined to you get an empty mesh as result. Keep in mind: The polygonization of the mesh is based on selected points of the pure measurement data. For multipart you have usually to restrict that for each part separately in a geometrical way. If you have setup your project "correctly" for multipart there are already defaults which will help you but I guess there is something wrong defined or missing. Nevertheless, this can only be analyzed for your concrete data and therefore you have to contact your local GOM partner, the Forum is not the appropriate place for that.
