Calypso 2024 Patch and update

Hello all,

We have a new Zeiss and I'm currently running Calypso 7.8.12 SP3. I see there is a new patch from 1/11/26, as well as a newer Full version with SP download 7.8.20. What SP is the current download, and do I need to install the patch after that or is it included in the full version with sp? Or should I just stick with SP3?

Normally, updates within the same version range (for example, from 7.8.1.x to 7.8.2.x) can be performed without any issues.

If you are currently running version 7.8.12, you can update directly to “ZEISS CALYPSO 2024 Patch 7.8.2005 Setup.zip.”

That said, if your current CALYPSO installation is working properly and you are not experiencing any issues, an update is not strictly necessary. Updates always carry a certain level of risk. I personally performed the update earlier this week and did not encounter any problems.

I like to check with others that are using the software to avoid any surprises when upgrading. Generally, I use 1 release behind the current until the bugs get worked out.
