Hi is there a way to scan a large part that is a thin walled plastic using volume merge but without rotation of the table? Even a short scan rotates the table past 180 degrees.

Hello DJB,

without any rotation you would only get 2D data, so I am not sure that function will work. Could you elaborate a bit please? I will ask a colleague with more experience with CTs than me then 🙂

Hi Nanno, the part size was too big, and I thought if I could scan without rotation it would work. I  tried using the virtual horizontal detector but had mixed results. Do you have any experience in setting this up and working with it?

It's not possible without rotation table. The function only works for 3D data, which needs the rotations for computation.
