[Ro...]
I have to measure some 'profile purity of a plane' on several surfaces on the product. See the enclosed part of the drawing. For example the cross sections TT-TT and UU-UU. How can i select the defined area on the CAD? Please mention the buttons/tabs i have to click on. With kind regards, Rob
[Na...] Posted yesterday at 11:45 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:45 AM Hello Rob, if the patches of the CAD allow it, only select the relevant patches for the construction for the Patch Compound from CAD. Here is an introduction to selections: ZEISS Quality Tech Guide If the patches do not represent the areas for the surface profiles, the patch compound may be larger than the area, and the selection could be defined on the actual surface element, e.g. with deselect on surface. [Ro...] Posted yesterday at 12:24 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 12:24 PM Hello Nanno, Thank you for your answer. No, the patches of the CAD are not equal to the predefined areas. They are larger. When i define on the actual surface, how can i link the selection to CAD? Or is this not needed with GD&T.
[Ma...]
I would ask engineer to edit CAD model to be able to select it as patch. Otherwise from my experience you would need to manual select of an area.
