New Software version & uninstall old version

Hi all,

Just wanted to check what is the general recommendation once a new software release has been installed. 

From Zeiss inspect 2025 to 2026, do you generally leave the old version on the pc,  or do you uninstall the previous versions.

If so, what are the look-outs?

Hi Florian,

there is no need to uninstall an older version first. You can use them in parallel. Also note, that projects are not backwards compatible, so it it often nice to have an older software version at hand, if a customer did not update yet for example.

There might be some issues with an updated sensor firmware, but the software can be used for inspections without problems in parallel.
