[Ja...]
Built a new program, and have been running it on repeat to test it out and make sure it is repeatable. I have a pattern of 42 holes that I'm measuring and 2 of them give me this error, there is no collision, it's attempting to take a point on the side of this hole, and then red light, error message. No one at my work knows what this means or how to resolve it. I have tried adding points, removing points, slower speed, faster speed, I've skipped it and come back later and this will happen a couple times then magically work. Any ideas on why its happening or how to fix it?
[Ch...]
Hi James, 418 Problem with sliding average <- I know this error on our CMM when the Vast head was defective. I think that is some kind of hardware error.
[Cl...]
I have ran into this error before and like Christian said it could be the head but also could be an air bearing. I had this error on one of our machines a few months ago and it would popup when check bores or when qualifying styli. It turned out to one of the air bearings in the Y axis was dragging slightly and causing a power draw issue.
