How to use RUN when the first point in the program is under the part. I put in a start point, but that did not help. The probe will crash on top of the part. I have used the CMM positions, but the CMM bypasses them.

You could make your base alignment features something else easier to access, then create an alignment that will be your main alignment.

I rarely use difficult surfaces and methods for a base alignment, and I never use a base alignment as my main alignment.

Are the CMM positions in a different feature than the point to be touched? Otherwise I can't understand why it should bypass postion points.
