Intersection between mesh and CAD surface

Hello everyone,

I need to produce a section that can be exported in IGS by intersecting a mesh with a CAD section which is neither a plane, nor a cylinder or cone. 

This seems to be impossible for a reason that I don't really understand. Does anyone have some intel on this problem?

I tried sections, curve and mesh editing options without any success in my quest.

I have a problem with understanding what you want to achieve.

There is an option to intersect a mesh with a curve as i remember, but i was looking for something another and this wasn't working for me.
If you can try to explain it more deeply with a reason what for would be that IGES.
