Is it possible to extract measures over a line ?

Hello all,

I would like to evaluate measures like principal strain, strain-rate in a certain direction over a line through the deformation scenes.

I would define a line on a surface component, and I would let the software to evaluate the desired measure through this line with a desired discrete number of points, over whole deformation scenes.
 

Is this possible?
