Unable to Extract Features from CAD Model

Having an issue extracting features from CAD model. 

CAD model loads correctly. I can extract features from the model, define points on the model, everything is normal.

Then when I save the program, I am no longer to do any of that.

Can still create characteristics, and create features using probe, but no longer able to extract directly from CAD model.

Any thoughts?

Interesting. Does Calypso give you an error message or does it just not do anything when clicking the model after saving?

No error message. Calypso is just unresponsive. All other functions work properly.

Are you logged in as the Master? If not, you might be missing the necessary permissions. Or are you using versioning?

It's likely that you're not logged in as the Master user and therefore do not have the necessary privileges. Here's a couple articles on the topic of user privileges.

I am logged in as master user. All functions are accessible, until the first time I save the inspection program.

After saving, extraction from CAD model stops working. This includes defining points on the model.

All other tools function normally.

Maybe you can try healing the model again? Hope that works?

I had this happen once when the "Work Area" checkbox got checked in the CAD Hierarchy.  (There appears to be some sort of system to declare some CAD pieces a fixture and some your model but I could not figure it out and do not recommend touching it)

Unfortunately, healing the model does not work either.

, I've experienced a similar issue, so I'm curious if yours is the same as I faced.

When you open the "Create Features" window and then click on the CAD model, does this allow you to extract and create features while that window is open (by assigning the feature type from the Create Features buttons)?

The Create Features button is grayed out in the Create Features window.

That seems like it means something...

What are your CAD load settings set to? I haven't tested it but I wonder if having it set to Model View could be responsible for this. Depending on your Calypso version it is either under "File->CAD Load Settings" or "File->Load Settings"

Switched to the top selection, and that worked.
