[Ke...] Posted May 19 Share Posted May 19 (edited) We have a Contura G2 that was functioning fine, yesterday. The power went off (overnight) and now the CMM will only move in X & Y Axis. Any attempt to move in the Z direction at any speed results in the drives shutting off. The air is at 4.9 bar; I tried a soft reset of the controller & a hard reset of the controller. I've never seen this issue with a CMM, so any insight/advice is appreciated. [Ch...] Posted May 19 Share Posted May 19 I don't have a contura, but on my accura, there is a button that releases the air, you get to it thru a hole in the housing or just take the cover off. [Ch...] Posted May 19 Share Posted May 19 I just happened to have a Zeiss tech here. He says you have to take the cover off and there are two switches you can turn 90 degrees to release the rollers. Said to be careful and make sure you don't let it fall. The Z axis does move "more freely", but it is still tight and makes a screaching sound when the mast is moved... I came in this morning, and they let the mast move freely.
