Personally, I'd prefer it if Zeiss worked harder on updating the 30 year old spaghetti code than putting a fresh coat of paint on it. 4
[Ri...]
No way we are saying Polyworks has a nice GUI. At the end of the day every software has its own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to UIs - except for MCOSMOS 😆
[Da...]
In my experience, a user-friendly interface makes it more difficult to program complex measurement tasks. Calypso is more flexible - sometimes too flexible.

[Ca...]
I see it the same way as many others. There likely won't be a Calypso 2026 version. But perhaps a really good 2027 one instead?
[Wo...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It's not going to be Calypso 2027, it's going to be Zeiss Calliope - a completely new software based on Zeiss Inspect. Remember, I called it first.

[Ch...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Google trends is giving me conflicting results for this. In the United States we see two odd spikes for the word Calliope in 2026. But the searches are not coming from where Zeiss has their main offices. You would think insiders would be googling the word Calliope. Worldwide, searches are mostly from Italy, Serbia, and Greece. Not exactly Zeiss hotspots either.

Popular Post [Ow...]
If it doesn't come out before December 31st, 2026, I want my 2026 SMA money back . That said, I'd be happy paying for 2026 and 2027 if they changed the icon's back or at least improved them. Especially the ID/OD icon, because who hasn't misinterpreted the small black circle feature icon and crapped their pants when it outside the hole to measure it?

[Ja...]
Just wondering - Is anybody else having a problem with your latest version Calypso off-line seat crashing when running a sim? Mine will close completely at random points during the execution with only a second or two of freeze up before crashing.
[Lu...]
Jack, Do you have the latest service pack? Are you seeing any specific errors?
[Lu...]
I would also make sure that your graphics card settings are configured according to the recommendations outlined in this article - https://portal.zeiss.com/knowledge-base?id=1596796
[Sh...] Posted yesterday at 10:22 PM Share Posted yesterday at 10:22 PM Will they continue fixing the bugs in Calypso 2025 after 2026 is release? It sure would suck if they don't.

[Ja...]
Lucas, thanks for the link but that one must have been written a while ago as everything looks different on my computer. I stay up to date with the very latest version of Calypso and Windows 11 Business. Right now Calypso is at 8.0.1603. I don't get an error message, Calypso literally just vanishes with almost no warning. Calypso will freeze for a second or two (none of my other Windows apps freeze so I'm sure it's isolated to Calypso) and then Calypso vanishes without saving any of the changes. [Wo...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hmm weird, if you have a nvidia card it should look like the screenshots. Can you post your PC's specs? I haven't had straight CTDs with Calypso in awhile. If it dies its usually with some error and I have to force close it.
[Ja...]
Is this what you're looking for? Mine doesn't have the option of multiple global settings. It's worked fine up until the last couple of Calypso patches I've installed which is why I"m thinking the problem is Calypso and not a hardware thing. [Wo...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Interesting, every driver release I've seen has a drop-down where you can select the Autodesk compatible settings. Can you monitor the temperatures and CPU/GPU usage when simulation is running? Memory too, CTDs often happen when the system runs out of memory and has to use swap. I think I've read that Microsoft started to enable Memory Integrity security setting by default in recent updates, which tends to be performance intensive. And as usual, if you have some third party AV it might be messing with the processes. That's all I can think of right now.
[Th...]
I'm pretty sure Nvidia only makes those profile presets available on their workstation product line. We accidentally quoted replacement PCs for our shop equipment that had Geforce GPUs instead of Quadros or whatever they're being called now and I don't have the preset list available, but as far as I know we have not had any crashing problems on them.
