[Ün...]
Hello everyone, There have been changes to the technical drawing and a D reference has been added. Along with this, the runout value has also changed. I need to check the runout based on 2 plane points and one cylinder point. In Calyso, I can select 2 references for runout: 1 plane and 1 cylinder. I haven't seen 2 different plane points for runout before. I'm using Calyso 2021. Could this be related to the new GD&T? Benim düşüncem,
[Ma...] Posted yesterday at 09:07 AM Share Posted yesterday at 09:07 AM On new GD&T i can not do that. I believe it's either intersection C-D or your projection
[Ed...]
Is the FCF correct? Datum D doesn't constrain any new degrees of freedom. Maybe B-D as a common datum would work. The new GD&T engine has a checkbox for common datums.
[Zo...]
D wouldn't affect anything in this case anyways, as Datum-B is already covering all the same constrains C-D projection is basically wrong, as you are changing a 3d (cylinder) geometry to a 2d (circle). a point instead of an axis go talk to engineering team and get them either to fix the call-out or explain the design intent my 2 cent Edited 15 hours ago

[Ün...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Zolfagari, I understand that D will not affect it. (Also, D and B are created in the same operation.) According to the previous technical drawing, my client created and checked C-D using a projector, so I also created them using a projector. I understand this is not appropriate. I sent an email to the client explaining the situation, but I wanted to ask you as well in case I missed something.
[Zo...]
honestly the closes i would get to be able to use two plane as datum would be symmetry but then the call-out should be change to |0.02|B-D|C| projection is a tricky thing, it could be projected using the cylinder axis or using plane vector. each could give you a different point
