Normalizing Vectors?

During troubleshooting when running a part, sometimes I will normalize a vector and I have noticed that when doing that it makes the A1 and A2 angle for the 3D feature check a perfect zero. I was curious if that is all it is or if there is more to it? Similarly, whenever I open up a position from the characteristic menu, I see there is a letter "P" and a bent line icon next to it and I was wondering what is the exact purpose of those?

"P" will evaluate in nominal length of cylinder for example.

Bended will evaluate on measured length.

I am not sure what you mean by your correction of vectors.
On points or on what or when and why you do it.
