[Ri...]
In this particular part, Circle3, Circle4 and Circle5 establish a centerline. (Ignore the Planes that appear rotated, I am working with a legacy program that was never configured properly). The circles (3, 4 and5) are not on a Bolt Circle centerline; they construct a poor BC in my opinion (See Circle6 in the program). The zip file is a program, its small, no CAD model. All nominals are calculated to 8 decimal places. I need assistance to establish a proper centerline from the three Circles (3, 4, and 5). It's what the blueprint states to do. Any help is appreciated. Alignment me this_Rev J_Op15_10-15-2027.zip
[Be...]
given that circles 3, 4, and 5 are oddly distributed, I don't see a clear way to create a centerline. Surely there is more information in the drawing. I checked and the three circles cannot make an equilateral nor isosceles triangle. So it just doesn't make a lot of sense. We could easily put the three circles on a common circle. Then clock that common circle center to be the Z+ axis. Or we could use the center point of any two circles and combine that with the third circle to create a line that we could clock to. But you would need some more direction from the drawing to pick something. Heck, you could even do a bestfit.
[Ma...]
Richard - in that Circle6 is recalled measured points. Wouldn't be sufficient to just recall centers of those Circle3,4,5 and use Circle3 for stopping rotation? Use special to move alignment with formula from that common circle ( i would suggest to use nominals instead of actuals ) Also you can make a 3d line from center of common circle and circle3. Sorry if i misunderstood your problem, but i think this is a normal solution. Otherwise, could you describe your problem more?
