For the desktop PC to talk to the embedded PC in your X-ray machine, very specific processes need to be configured/running in the background and loaded in Windows registry. Before you do the following, please restart your desktop PC and see if that restores the processes required to communicate with the embedded PC. If that does not work, you will have to manually execute the executable (.exe) files yourself. It is not hard, but it is very poorly (if ever) documented from Zeiss. When you double click the executable files, it configures your desktop to talk to your X-ray, and makes changes to the Windows registry so that the processes fire automatically when the desktop PC restarts. In your file explorer, go to "C:\Program Files\Zeiss\INSPECT\YOUR VERSION YEAR\bin" Sort by Type. You will see some folders at the top, and then should see a bunch of files that end in .exe (make sure you enable file extensions are shown) Double click "TomCtServer.exe" The command prompt will pop open, let it execute fully (it will close when finished). Restart the desktop. Check if communication is restored. If not, go back to the above location, and double click: scanner_server.exe ZEISS_INSPECT_ACQServer.exe ZEISS_INSPECT_HardwareServer.exe ZEISS_INSPECT_MoveServer CTXrayRegistration If still no communication, there are a few more .exe files located in "C:\Program Files\Zeiss\INSPECT\YOUR VERSION YEAR\bin\xray_services" that we can try. Let me know if the above restores communication.      Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27744-error-mctbase-002/#findComment-157526 Share on other sites
