[ke...] Posted yesterday at 02:19 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:19 PM Hi, how do you capture an angle starting from an origin point? I have tried angle between two features, angle of rotation and no luck. I am trying to capture this 57.2 angle. I have built symmetrys from centerline, 2 lines/3d lines. Please help ! [Ma...] Posted yesterday at 02:42 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:42 PM Use 3D line from center to center ( aka use "recall" - not recall features or recall measured points ) Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27774-measuring-angles-from-an-origin-point/#findComment-157576 Share on other sites
[Lu...]
Be aware of 3D lines: If the two points you are using are at different heights, measuring the angle between them may introduce errors due to the inclination of the 3D lines. The best approach is to measure the circles and use the Projection option under Under Construction to project the centre of each circle onto a plane. Always use the same reference plane for all projections. You can then construct the 3D lines based on these projected points. I have never had any problems measuring angles when using this method. est 1 Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27774-measuring-angles-from-an-origin-point/#findComment-157612 Share on other sites
