[Ni...]
Hello together, i am currently have a problem with a setup and maybe some of you have a good Answer for it: The Problem: i have 2 shopfloor machines to set up only one program means that i use one program for the different machines with different positions for the adapterplate of the part on each machine. on machine 1 i measured in the basesystem of the part and referenced it to the adapter plate (machine 1) as a Startsystem and calculated the deviation and saved the program. For machine 1 i set up a autorun data and defined the startparameter on the startsystem of the adapter plate. In this situation it works without any problems. I need to put it on the other machine 2, this machine also have an adapter plate (machine 2), i did the same procedure like i did on the machine 1 and the part moved on machine 1 after i did the changes on machine 2. It means 1 program 2 machines 2 adapter plate with each on startsystem for the part 2 Autorun overlays I know that i can solve this problem if i do a palet system and use the startsystem for the palet(one for machine 1 and one for the machine 2) and the basesystem of the part in the autorun. Is there a different possibility to do this? if you have any questions please ask me and thank you all in advance Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27814-basestartsystem-setup/ Share on other sites
[Ma...]
Why you don't want to use pallet system? There is another way, but it's the similar way as pallet program. Only if you have some sort of similar position of that part in machine workspace, then you would need to sacrifice start system to obtain part location via simple points with big approach distance Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27814-basestartsystem-setup/#findComment-157868 Share on other sites
[Ni...] Posted yesterday at 07:06 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 07:06 AM Hello Martin, i normally dont want to use the palet system, but i know how it works with the paletsystem. Just dont like it because it is not the clean and correct way. the positions of the part on the adapter plate is the same but startsystem is different(cant change it there are too many programs on it). Which way do you have in mind have i overseen something?. [Ma...] Posted yesterday at 09:40 AM Share Posted yesterday at 09:40 AM Then do first part manually - next parts will have new position of start system - this will be stored inside that machine, so it's one time job. Otherwise you would need to explain much more. In machine view - even if you place same fixture on "same" place, then it's not on the same place - there can be differences in mm's. [Ni...] Posted yesterday at 10:57 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 10:57 AM You mean part 1 only with the basesystems and on the other machine with the startsystem . [Ma...] Posted yesterday at 11:19 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:19 AM When you make changes in fixture or program, then just run start system on both machines manually - this will store it's position and then it will run where it should be. [Ni...]
What exactly so you mean with run it manually? Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27814-basestartsystem-setup/#findComment-157934 Share on other sites
[Ma...]
Are you running that program from autorun? Then on right side is check box for manual - it will force to first do manual alignment, then it will run in CNC mode. If you are running that from programming window, then go to editing of start alignment and click on manual run. Both methods will store new origin of start alignment. [Ni...]
Yes i run it with autorun on both machines. okay now i understand what you mean by saying do it manually, problem is that the colleagues who are working with it dont have that much time to do it manually. Thanks for your help Martin Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27814-basestartsystem-setup/#findComment-157988 Share on other sites
[Ma...]
It's only for the first time - if you place fixture on machine again on "same" spots you can run it normally - only if you move it elsewhere you would need to adjust it's position by manual run. So you don't need to do it on daily basis or shift. Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/27814-basestartsystem-setup/#findComment-158012 Share on other sites
