Deviation versus distance : labels are not the same as results

Hi,

I am comparing the surface of an STL with a sphere fitted to its mesh. When I select the results view I obtain different values than when I individually select the labels for the same values. Maybe they do not represent the same measurements? What is the difference between deviation and distance and how are each calculated?

Additionally, is there a way of obtaining the statistics for the absolute distances between the mesh surface and the constructed sphere?

Hi,

it's always hard to judge values only from an image. Therefore I recommend to send your project to the professional support if you want to have a reliable answer why your values are "different". Usually you have applied "different" computations (even if it not seems so), e.g. have you 'deactivated' the 'Sigma calculation' during the fitting?
