[Ca...]
Hi. I'm currently using GOM to have the strain components of a curve surface. I can have the values of epsilon (X), epsilon (Y) and epsilon (XY) by going to the Inspect>Check dimensions>Strains but I can't find a way to get epsilon (Z), epsilon (Z), epsilon (YZ) or epsilon (XZ). Is there another solution that will allow me to get these strain components? Thank you, in advance for your valuable assistance. Have a good day Cam
[Iv...]
Hello Camille , no that's not possible. We are working on the 2D surface. Please check the direct help for more information.
[Vi...]
Hi Camille, I am also interested in obtaining a out-of-plane strain in a 3D measurement. @Ivan, if it is a 3D measurement, is there any way to get a out-of-plane strain such as epsilon (z) or epsilon (yz)? [Th...]
Hi, you can use: Inspection - Check Dimensions - Strains - Check Thickness Strain. But be aware that this is only a calculated value using volume constancy. Eps (yz) is not calculated out of the box.
